The highest collection for a Russian dubbed Indian film this far has been Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War, which grossed 1.7 crore roubles. However, if Pushpa: The Rise continues going steady at the current pace, it will soon break the record to become the highest-grossing Indian film in Russia.
Earlier in December, the Pushpa team had attended press conferences in Russia in which they interacted with the media and spoke about their film. Allu Arjun had also taken to his Twitter account and shared a photo in which he can be seen in the now famous ‘ Thaggede Le ’ gesture from the movie. Allu Arjun’s co-star Rashmika Mandanna who plays Srivalli in the film, director Sukumar, and music director Devi Sri Prasad can also be seen beside him. His caption for the post read, “Pushpa in Russia.”
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has begun shooting for the sequel of Pushpa, which is titled Pushpa: The Rule. The first part narrated the rise of a common man to become a sandalwood smuggler. Actor Sai Pallavi has reportedly been approached to play an important role in the sequel. However, there has been no confirmation of the same. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil will reprise their roles of Srivalli and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat in the second part of the franchise.
